DirecTV) not the DirecTV house-brand DVR (which does indeed suck).

I buy all my old TiVo stuff on ebay, using BidNip, of course. :)

The directTV one SUCKS!!!   I can't wait to ditch it.   The remote is
horrible .  If you've had Tivo, then you won't like D,TV.  It is difficult
to FWD, rew, and stop it where you want it.   Unlike Tivo.

I have a DirecTivo and love it.  I want more but DirecTV doesn't send 
out Tivo's anymore.

Does anyone have a DirecTV HD receiver and an add-on standalone Tivo?  
Does it work well?  Are you forced to watch the chanel that is 
recording?  How is quality?
