During some recent barstool engineering, we hypothesized that the 308/328 V8 is a perfect candidate for a standalone like a MOTEC and possibly coils from a late GM model V8. The motors have everything of today's high performance cars except modern tuning. I would be interested in hearing in others that have done this. We were thinking a rebuild with slightly higher compression and then modernizing fuel and timing. We have done this to other makes with significant improvement. Do early F-Cars also benefit greatly? 300hp Plus? Rodney Cousin is a former independent F Mechanic Other buddy on stool next to me has done several standalone conversions.
