The 4 engined bombers are not being reproduced AFAIK - probably the
complexity keeps interest low but

In my old National Guard unit we had a flight surgeon who had a partial
ownership in a B-17. Great opportunity for a free ride (being the unit's
Instrument Flight Instructor) though some others had less pleasant "crew"
duties in
exchange for a fun weekend with the airplane.

I think that, in addition to the great costs of operation, one of the
biggest bar to reproducing these larger bombers were the minimum number of crew

members required to operate them followed probably very closely with a
requirement for a specific type certificate for each individual bomber, and
their huge
appetite for fuel and parts.. Things like that were a challenge for
organizations as venerable as the Confederate Air Force that made a distinct
effort
at preserving old warbirds.

Personally, a B-36 bomber and a Grumman Goose (probably one of the really
neat ones re-engined with Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engines). Of course I'd
probably
have to con Clyde into some sort of partnership arrangement both for
financial and flying experience and skill/currency. The there would be the
problem
of finding one at a "Clyde Price" and a ghetto airport to park it in when it
reached a "C" inspection.
