Thank you, Thank you, thank you. Windup windows, engine technology, 5 speed manual transmissions, mid/rear engine placement (or good weight distribution in F/R platform). Radio for news, some music, but the real sounds should be from engine/exhaust note(s). BTW, did test drive a Porsche 911SC, found it to be really wanting. Shifter defeated all the wonderful possibilities of the car. Slow, longish, vague. In a SPORTS car. And, sounds were not pleasing, just were there, background noise. In the 308gt4, for instance, there were engine sounds but also exhaust sounds that were pleasant, and actually the shifting on that car was better (even with the oft malaligned gated shifter) than the SC's. Apologies to 911SC owners, but I was underwhelmed. Car was nice, not a beater, but just no fun to drive with no pleasant noises and fun defeating shifter.
