Steve:

I have no problem with what you are saying. My point was that some eco-whackos are advocating the 100 Mile Diet to curb carbon emissions (from transporting foodstuffs). The dummies eschew lettuce for seaweed and squash. I don't care if they eat dog doo, but by curbing trade with the third world they are not lowering emissions, poverty leads to more people.

The median age in the Gaza strip is 15.6. USA aside, most western countries have a birth rate below 2.0 per couple, we are disappearing at a hellacious rate and meanwhile what we are worrying about is eating seaweed! I am NOT advocating interference in the third world by any means, I just want my Chilean cabernet thanks very much.

Agree re Japanese cars too. Toyota ia about to release along wheelbase hybrid limo based on the Prius for the guilty stars in LA. I think they named it the Priapus!

here is Juarez Mexico taken through the sunroof of my car yesterday AM going east on I - 10. There are 5 million souls in Juarez. They all have charcoal braziers. Note smoke (this is a good day). Mexico is a "developing country"under Kyoto, and we have to pay them $$$$ because of our emissions.

here is the view out the other side of El Paso,TX land of gas stoves and catalytic converters, same date and time. Note lack of smoke. El Paso is bad, because it is industrialized and wealthy. El Paso must pay, according to Kyoto. There are a third as many souls here as south of the dotted line.
