Re: OT: Voting records?

Hmmm... Orin Hatch is usually one of the good guys - very ethical - I wonder if there was some wording he didn't like? Sometimes, the title of the bill is misleading - they throw all kinds of extra stuff into it without anything to do with the title.

Try http://projects.washingtonpost.com/congress/ for the Congressional voting records - this site has them back to 91.

If anyone could provide a good link for current voting records, I'd
appreciate it. I thought of Roll Call, but in going to their site I got the
impression that you'd need to subscribe in order to get access. But, I did
find out that in the latest Senate vote on Ethics, the only 2 senators not
voting in favor were one of my Oklahoma guys as well as Orin Hatch of UT.
Had to search quite a bit to find that one...

Larry,
Interesting post, and I don't disagree with you, but voting records are
readily available on the internet 24 hrs. a day. I believe you can also
purchase a printed book each week/month/year from the Gov't. I have
also seen House and Congressional votes displayed live in a C-Span
channel more than once during the day.
