They did have the exceptionally ugly convex wheels and modified suspension needed to introduce ABS, but ABS itself was not added until the 1989 model year (like that surprises anyone with Ferrari experience). "Hey, Luigi, we used up all of the traditional concave wheels, but we're not done with '88 MY production yet. Should we order more?" "Nah, Vincenzo, just open up that box of new concave wheels. We had to order a few gross of them anyway, for just one model year, so we may as well use them up...." Hey Dennis, Brian's email got to me first! LOL Yes, he did point that out to me. I think someone might be trying to pull an internet scam on me... Also, keep in mind that the 328 ABS system is relatively primitive. Remember, modern ABS is now up to, what, 7th generation? 12th generation? ABS has been around for more than 20 years, and has improved dramatically (as has computer power, cycle times, etc.) So, yes, it's better than nothing (far better), but still not as good as more modern systems. I was driving an earlier ABS car and all I did was adjust braking points and used left foot braking tactically! And re tire usage in non-ABS cars... Dude, learn how to better use your right foot! :-) Did I mention being aggressive? If I am going to pass someone under braking, I had to go in late. The tire smoke and squealing was also a nice way to disrupt the other driver's concentration! I strongly prefer ABS. I laugh at the "purists" who insist that driving non-ABS cars make them, um, more pure drivers. Sure. Whatever. I just give them a friendly wave as I dive past them in the braking zone! :-) Vty, --Dennis You must be racing against chicks or guys who drive like one. (don't send me crap on this one. I dated someone who raced and kicked the crap out of me!) Rodney
