Were I in the market for a TV, I would insist on 'Dolby Volume'...reputedly the best commercial leveler which is quickly being added to newer sets. I go totally ballistic when, after setting the audio relatively high for a tv program, a commercial comes on with volume 3X louder (by my actual measuerment) and wakes up the neighbors baby and several wild animals across the street. It seems only to be simply called 'Dolby Volume' and handles 30 db variation without compressing important sound nuances. I was about to buy a compressor until I read about the impending availability of this technology.
