First time I drove a NSX, the MD that I worked for tossed me the keys. I was so excited I could hardly stand it. Got in, started it up.....just like my Prelude Took off....quick....just like my Prelude but faster Chassis.... Very stiff laterally, but rode, JUST LIKE MY Prelude! Had fun in the car, but felt let down afterward. The first NSX I saw was on the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks - Ohhhhh, coooool. I roll down the window and pull up behind it to listen and I hear Yeah, Nuthin. From then on, it was a neat look wanna be. Might as well have been one of those tin colored things from a few years ago. Alas DOUG Our little 1971 911T Porsche is a light, nimble, point and shooter. The 1982 911SC is a cruiser. The 78GTS is in-between. ----- Original Message ----- From: "LS" <lashdeep [at] yahoo.com> To: "DOUG" <dnt [at] dock.net> Cc: "'The FerrariList'" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Monday, February 26, 2007 10:17 AM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Change of taste in the V8/Flat 12 lineup... > Could it be that the driving experience of the older cars is more unique? > > Nowadays, a 360 can feel (not sound) like any number of modern cars with > the same interior materials, steering feel and shift action due to cost > metering capitalism and basic business economics. > > In the old days, a Ferrari, Aston, Porsche and Lambo all felt very, very > different.
