I hate to say it, but the first time that I heard a 348 with all the smog crap, 
real mufflers, and cats stuck on it ... it sounded like a Singer Sewing Machine 
(IMHO). Ach, the shame of it all. I'll take the Euro headers to an expansion 
chamber (muffler) and straight out the tailpipes any day.

At one point in time I was approached by an employee of Accura, we discussed my 
spending time with the Calif. based marketing guys to see if the NSX could not 
be made to sound more "Italian" which was one of the few acknowleged 
shortcomings of that car. At the time, I guess I should have tried to make a 
serious case for doing so.

The first NSX I saw was on the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks - Ohhhhh, 
coooool.  I roll down the window and pull up behind it to listen and I hear 
Yeah, Nuthin.  From then on, it was a neat look wanna be.  Might as well 
have been one of those tin colored things from a few years ago.

1982 911SC is a cruiser.  The 78GTS is in-between.
