Thanks. I'm going to try that and then get a reading as soon as I can get  
some backup on reading the flashes. I guess I need to do the diagnostics as it  
seems like only dealers can afford to just replace the parts in sequence until 
 they get it fixed.
 
I'd hate to buy a new ECU only to find out it is a vacuum leak or some  other 
problem.
 
Incidentally, this sequence occurred after changing out the battery so it  is 
probably the same as disconnecting it and starting from there.
