Wonderful Peter - this is a great day. A long time ago there were a whole bunch of folks from Australia and New Zealand that have GT4s and raced them and what not. That was 1999 or so. That was when the List had hundreds of hits a day - gawd help you if went on vacation for two weeks. But as with many of the others - they have dropped off active listing, if they are there at all. I poked about but two computers later I have lost their addresses. If they are there - they will reply - nice fellows. One guy unfortunately burned his car to the ground - only time I have now is check check check for fuel leaks - the gift that keeps on giving.
DOUG
enjoy the day - it will be a blur to you in a year. System overload. heh heh

I just picked up my 308 GT4 today. If you have any other little tips like
that one, please do share!

Gavin notes "I gave the car a good clean and in the process found "Made in
Taiwan" on the mirrors!!!! ?|"

Hoo Haaa Gavin - aint it a ball? Getting used to the clink clink when
shifting? Man, I love that sound.

So the mirrors had Taiwan on them eh? Wait till you take a close look at
your tool kit - India.

In 1999 when we were at the factory I asked one of the people there why they
had put cheap tools made in India with chrome peeling from the screw driver
in the earlier cars - his reply was - well, back then we were a small
company and couldn't concern ourselves with luxury as we do now - besides,
you aren't supposed to do any work on the car yourself - take it to an
authorized dealer. heh heh

DOUG
PS - you may want to check out the accelerator pedal box for lubrication.
Ours was so stiff it took two feet - turns out the original grease had gone
pink and was hard as a brick. I bet the same problem happens to the window
winders - But NEVER take one of those apart unless you absolutely need to -
that picture hanging wire goes everywhere. Just a few shots of motorcycle
chain lube does the trick
