If it is a newer changer it should have dampers built into it and have 
memory where it reads ahead on the disk and plays from a few seconds of 
memory instead of the actual disc itself.   This way if it should skip 
you never know it ... I always hang them from the rear shelf, but your 
MB should have a place specifically for it in one of the storage areas 
behind the wheel wells.
