CD Changer Installation

Howdy,
I finally have a working CD Changer for my '91 Mercedes (long story) - it attaches to the amp & tuner in the trunk so I need to mount it somewhere back there. Under the hat-rack would be the best place, but other options will be considered.

I'd like to minimize CD skipping if possible - are there generic cushioned mounts I could in install the changer on to provide a safe and cushioned place to install the Changer? BTW, the changer is a 6 disc Alpine changer that had been in a 95 Porsche 993 owned by a fellow Rennlister which was replaced with other equipment.

   Any tricks to installing it?

   Any suggestions?
