Rick, et al: Although we missed the last 2 years of both, der Frau, Harrison (starting in 2001) and I have been to them all. Our general inpressions are if you are going to Montreal and have seats on the 1st corner after the start/finish line, be prepared to walk at least 2 miles each way from the Metro station, but the race makes it worthwhile.?One year it was 101* and I compared it to the Bataan Death March. I kept watching for guards to bayonet anybody who fell out of the march. The French speaking natives are not very friendly. On the Metro, one old lady started talking to der Frau in French while pointing at some very drunk American race fans. When der Frau replied in English, the lady got up and moved to another seat. I had 1 man tell me "No, no, no. We are?NOT Canadians, we are Quebec'rs. On the other hand, Indianapolis goes out of it's way to make you feel welcome. (Tip to Listers: If you have a Handicap Parking Permit, bring it along and you will get FREE parking in the infield museum parking lot) Just hang it from your rear view mirror and enter on 16th St. We took Harrison to his 1st F1 race there from Tucson?when he was 2 months old. Is there anyone out there who was younger? Good, if VERY hot weekend. Pretty uneventful from a race perspective. Very cool outcome for the top podeum position. rick --- "Bruce T.
