Huge fan. I've written litany after litany of praise for it (as have many,
many, many others). Crushes the Passport and other competitors to the
ground, for many reasons, but primarily because it's the only detector in
the world (patented) that has directional arrows to tell you the LOCATION of
the signal.

Anyway, it was insanely easy to install in my E38 and E39 BMWs, and may be
in yours. I just popped a panel to get access to the map lights (near the
Homelink buttons), and tapped into a power wire for the auto-dim rear view
mirror, which is "keyed power". The converter fit easily into place, the
power wire to the detector slid right out, and the V1 mounts high and to the
driver's right, just at the edge of windshield tint. Not easily seen from
outside the car, but easy enough to slip out if I'm parking anywhere new.

vty,

So I take it you are a fan of the V1? I just got one, and am going to
install it in my newly aquired 330ci this weekend. It is a pain to wire, as
there is so much plastic on these cars it is hard to find a ground
anywhere. If they are woth the effort as opposed to a cordless Passport, then
I will not mind.
