Hey cLyDe: Not to worry. You must have been 'confused' and thought that
Williams was the white bread version of Michael Vick, a truly dispicable
human being. Williams was an avid bird hunter and loved his dogs. As far as
I know he never fought them or stangled, drowned or electrocuted any of his
dogs. like your beloved Atlanta quarterback did. ?If you've ever been bird
hunting with your dog, you must know of the close bond he had with his
partner-dogs,?
And as for hating all the Jews in "Himietown" as the Rev. Jackson so
brilliantly?called them, no - it was the New York Yankees that he hated, not
the Jews. I can only hope and pray that for your sake, and your passengers,
that you are not this 'confused' when you fly.
And to A.J. and all of you Listers out there that put poor cLyDe straight,
Kudo to you all.

Yours for more clear-headed posts, yer pal Shitbox Bubba

Ted Williams hated blacks, huh? Oh, really? Funny, when you read the
transcript of his Hall of Fame induction:
"I've been a very lucky guy to have worn a baseball uniform, and I hope
some day the names of Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson in some way can be added
as a symbol of the great Negro players who are not here only because they
weren't given a chance."
(For those of you unfamiliar with Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson, they were
two of the stars of the Negro Leagues who were unable to play in the "bigs"
before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1947.)
If you're going to disparage a man's character, especially one who served
the country honorably in two major conflicts (something I'd think you'd
understand, Clyde, especially as the man was a naval aviator) I'd think
you'd want to know a bit more about the man first.
Just my $.02.
