Hey ClYde,
I think Rev. Jackson was brought in by willi because YOU were the one who
brought race and prejudice into the conversation in the first place.

Re: [Ferrari] Will The Real Ted Williams Please Stand Up? Hey cLyDe: Not to
worry. You must have been 'confused' and thought that Williams was the white
bread version of Michael Vick, a truly dispicable human being. Williams was an
avid bird hunter and loved his dogs. As far as I know he never fought them or
stangled, drowned or electrocuted any of his dogs. like your beloved Atlanta
quarterback did. ?If you've ever been bird hunting with your dog, you must know
of the close bond he had with his partner-dogs,? And as for hating all the Jews
in "Himietown" as the Rev. Jackson so brilliantly?called them, no - it was the
New York Yankees that he hated, not the Jews. I can only hope and pray that for
your sake, and your passengers, that you are not this 'confused' when you fly.
And to A.J. and all of you Listers out there that put poor cLyDe straight, Kudo
to you all. Yours for more clear-headed posts, yer pal Shitbox Bubba

Williams Please Stand Up? Ted Williams hated blacks, huh? Oh, really? Funny,
when you read the transcript of his Hall of Fame induction: "I've been a very
lucky guy to have worn a baseball uniform, and I hope some day the names of
Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson in some way can be added as a symbol of the great
Negro players who are not here only because they weren't given a chance." (For
those of you unfamiliar with Satchel Paige and Josh Gibson, they were two of
the stars of the Negro Leagues who were unable to play in the "bigs" before
Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1947.) If you're going to disparage
a man's character, especially one who served the country honorably in two major
conflicts (something I'd think you'd understand, Clyde, especially as the man
was a naval aviator) I'd think you'd want to know a bit more about the man
first. Just my $.02. - A.J. On 9/11/07, clyde <clyderomero [at]

To all Listers under the age of 60: Ted Williams was the last baseball player
to hit .400 or better for the entire?season in the Major Leagues, playing many
years for the Boston Red Sox in the 1940's/50's. He was also a jet fighter ace
during the Korean conflict. His eyesight was 20-05. He could count the stiches
on a 100 mph fastball thrown by Bob Feller. (don't ask!) He currently resides
(frozen) in Phoenix, Az., standing upright in a cylinder with a temperature of
-275* minus his head, which is also frozen. One of those cryogenics labs that
promise you can come back after modern science can cure you of what killed you
in the first place. You know, just like Walt Disney is. I just hope that they
don't get the heads mixed up when it comes time to thaw. Can you imagine Walt
in a baseball uniform ... or the 'Splendid Splinter' drawing Mickey Mouse? Yer

Hey cLyDe: That was 3 years ago in Arizona. I hate to say it, but you're
starting to sound like Ted Williams these days. All Ted does now is stand
around and keep chill'in. For all of those Listers who don't get?the Ted
thing?... send me an e-mail and I'll explain. Yer pal, Shitbox Bubba Email and
