Agree with that sentiment!  Its cheap (less than $125 to go from 1 GB  to 2 
GB) and you'll never regret it.

One item:  buy more  memory.  1GB minimum.  And if you want to see the new
Aero GUI,  make sure you buy a good video card (256MB minimum video memory).

Don't  trust Dell to configure things right.... I got called over to a
friend's  house for a "PC is really slow" problem.  Some pinhead at Dell  sold
her an XP machine with 128MB of RAM.  I suggested buying 512MB  module, and
got the "Wow, what a difference! - What did you do?"  line.
