Hello Martin - yeah, I have heard about the dollar bill test for 
refrigerators magnetic seals and the Shelby big block Cobra C note test. 
Paste a C note on the wind shield and when I dump the clutch if you can 
reach it you can have it.  Most if not all are still there

Not quite like the pencil test given when evaluating earth quake damage - 
Stick a sharpened #2 pencil in the crack in the wall and if it sticks - you 
have a crack.

Or as in the 60's when hiring a secretary the nose test - walk them towards 
a wall - if the nose touches first, keep on interviewing.

Of course that attitude did bring on Gloria Steinem, but what the heck - 
when Washing DC took a poll of how many secretaries really could type well 
they were shocked to find very few could - the rest were just hunt n' 
peckers.
