Re: FW: Tire replacements for your 355

I recently replaced my rear 4 years old p zero assymetrico (the ferrari
spec tyres) with new ones.
The difference is remarkable.

I wonder how often people change the brand of a tyre and report how much
better they were than the previous brand, when simply the difference is
going old to new?

I'd always stick to standard size. These cars are bad enough in the wet
already. The last thing I want to do is go even WIDER in the back.

If your rake is right, I think you'll find you won't be spinning out into
the bushes either, btw. There is already huge grip in the rear.

My setup gives a very neutral handling car.

Just as important, 1995 tires if still on the car, would be hard as rocks,
and not perform well.

There is more grip in the rear, which helps reduce the # of dramatic TTO
spins. And tire technology has probably advanced as much in the last 12
years as any other part of the car. Dramatic, noticeable difference.

How much better does the car handle with 295s vs. 265s?

Also is there a dramatic difference in '07 tire tech vs. '95?
