I have a 512 TR with 88k on it and have never had a problem with the water pump leaking. I change the coolant yearly. Fwiw, most water pump problems are due to leaking seals not failure of the pump to circulate coolant. My TR was cooling just fine, but replenishing the coolant and cleaning it up from my garage floor was becoming a pita. I did send an email to Zerex detailing the failure and offering to send them the old seal for analysis.
