Dennis, I am shocked that you could ask the question? Of course we (the list) are that sad... As a Long time lurker and seldom poster (sold my "shitbox" 348 many years ago and now drive a "shitbox" M3 and am debating picking up a Lotus Elise). What makes the list really great (compared to some car nut lists) are the annual discussions on guns, watches, home theater, TIVO hacking, bid sniping, and of course the commentary from Clyde (every list needs a Clyde) and a few others. I mean discussions about racing, brake pads, interesting places to drive, places to get decent work done on your car and the best engine oil for a water cooled vs air cooled engine are all well and good, but really how much do you need to know about engine oil? The list is "dying" for other reasons. These likely include an aging list population (personally with 2 kids now, and no free time, the idea of sticking an F car in my garage and not driving it doesn't appeal any more than if I did drive it and had to give up half my stuff) and a lack of new owners who know how to use the internet (anyone see Lance Briggs Murcielago on I94?, Do you think he will pick up a Ferrari to replace the Lambo?). Lewis Hamilton's bit on Top Gear was fantastic. Loved how he was singing a bit while driving and some of his other comments "54 mph! That is crap". The GT-R is a boat, 3900 lbs? It is hugely overweight, and if I wanted to drive a video game I would drive a video game. Are we going to see lengthy dissertations from surely-duly-accredited-authorities on why such-and-such a caliber is better/worse instead of talking about, oh, I don't know: Top Gear has a review of the Scuderia v Nissan GT-R, Lewis Hamilton tries to beat the Stig, Schumacher blows off Massa's wedding, and this is what we're reduced to? No wonder why this list is dying. -----Original Message----- From: Fellippe Galletta [mailto:fellippe.galletta [at] gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 04, 2007 9:55 AM To: Dennis Liu Cc: The FerrariList Subject: [Ferrari] Official Rifle Cartridge of the Ferrari List http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.308_Winchester _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/bigheaddennis%40gmail.c om Sponsored by BidNip.com eBay Auction Sniper http://www.BidNip.com/ and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/themightytoe%40gmail.co m Sponsored by BidNip.com eBay Auction Sniper http://www.BidNip.com/ and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ No virus found in this incoming message.
