I have the same problem with the Glocks as Scottie. Once fired, I can
feel the recoil spring vibrating in the case and it is extremely
distracting, especially for a 2nd shot. My other problem with Glocks is
that their grip is manufactured at a slightly different angle to the
slide from most pistols I've fired. That angle is not natural in my
hands and I find it nearly impossible to draw a Glock quickly and expect
the site picture to be right immediately. My brother, however, has the
opposite experience and finds the Glocks to be on-target more easily.

I had two Glocks and traded one to a friend for an H&K USP .40 and
another to my brother for a Sig P229. I felt like I very much got the
better end of both those trades. If I could only have one gun period, it
would be the Sig P229.

So, as several have advised, I would shoot a bunch first and see which
one is most natural for you. That's why there are so many brands and
models. And if you have the chance, shoot a DE .50 just for fun. Nothing
shuts down the range like when I pull the trigger on that baby. Every
other shooter steps back and looks over with a "What the @$ [at] #$ was
that?" look... :-)
