U.N. White Paper indicating that animal husbandry - vi flatulence,  
waste, destruction of forest lands - is the leading cause of ozone  
depleting emissions.  Also, look up the stats on emissions via  
volcanic eruptions.  Mt. Penetubo (sp?) ejected more ozone depleting  
chemicals along with a significant amount of heavy metals and other  
particulate matter than (according to some sources) an entire decade  
of cars.

However, the one difference to consider is that we CAN control our  
emissions.
