As Colin Campbell wrote, "The horse is sick but its the rider who insists on talking to the vet." You need to go through the engine with a full suite of tests. Campbell suggests starting with fuel delivery rate and continuing on. I'd suggest that you do a compression check and if everything passes there, follow on with timing check - both for correct value and stability of timing, perhaps replace the plugs, go for a spirited run and do a plug cut.
