Factory recommended change interval is 100K.  I've never seen
one that really needed it earlier.  But I've known people who changed
them early and installed lessor quality plugs.  Then they get stuck
with more frequent change intervals.

BTW, watch out if your late model car has plugs that are "way down
there" - recessed into the head.  This is common with OHC designs.
Late model Ford PUs with gas V8s are notorious for having the
plugs seize in the heads from corrosion because the wells that
they sit in fill with water from splashing due to off road excursions.
Many guys around here have had to have the heads removed and
heli-coiled.
