Mike - No. I've never had a problem with oil usage under normal conditions. Uses a quart every 1-2K miles. I did burn a quart or more over a 59 mile open road course, but that was at WOT in 5th gear most of the time (5500 to 6500rpm), averaging 147mph. Some of the Zs had an oil usage problem. I guess mine was not one of them. Bob -- Mike <themightytoe [at] gmail.com> wrote: Bob, Did you ever have the rings worked on in your Z? My Z got so that it burned a quart of oil every 300 miles before I spun the main bearings at Motor Sport Ranch one summer... Just curious... Actually, the gap on the plugs in the picture is 0.60in., and is the recommended gap. I checked the plugs I took out, and they were all right around 0.60in. Gap had not changed significantly in all those 102,124 miles. I set the gap on my 308 plugs to 0.45in, as I have electronic ignition installed. Seems to work fine. Bob -- "Robert W.
