Interesting Mike, haven't heard of many oiling problems with the LS motors.

Any chance the car was low on oil before you went out?

Did you ever have the rings worked on in your Z?  My Z got so that it burned
a quart of oil every 300 miles before I spun the main bearings at Motor
Sport Ranch one summer...  Just curious...

Actually, the gap on the plugs in the picture is 0.60in., and is the
recommended gap.  I checked the plugs I took out, and they were all right
around 0.60in.  Gap had not changed significantly in all those 102,124
miles.

I set the gap on my 308 plugs to 0.45in, as I have electronic ignition
installed.  Seems to work fine.
