I couldn't find the tool and was told it's no longer being made based on the tool part number in the book. I ended up fabing one up. Had the shop do the work the first time and the belt broke early. I suspect they put a nic in it when installing it. Was a cheap low compression engine, so wasn't a valve bender. Broke going down the highway. Was carrying enough speed, I got to the off ramp, and down it too. Good thing as there was no shoulder. What's that you always say about flying fast and check 9 ? Worked for me that day. :-) Ed 911SC On 15/03/2008, clyderomero [at] worldnet.att.net <clyderomero [at] worldnet.att.net> wrote: > > I agree the book times are highly inflated > But if the jpb requires specialtools > Either buy them for the job > Or take it to the dealer > > Clyde > Sent via BlackBerry from Cingular Wireless > > > -----Original Message----- > From: "E M" <pokiebaron [at] gmail.com> > > Date: Sat, 15 Mar 2008 14:10:24 > To:clyde <clyderomero [at] worldnet.att.net> > Cc:"ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> > Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Service Time Schedule F355 > > > One time I would have lost my shirt was doing the timing belt on an older > GM > car.
