   Funny you should mention....I was sitting at the local cigar bar last
   night, when the bartender was too distracted to notice after the
   Celtics game- the 700 Club 'slipped' onto the flat-screen behind the
   bar....and lo-and-behold was an investigative piece on Democrats and
   Evangelicals.  There was a great deal of discussion regarding Obama's
   pastor (a former US Marine, I might add) as well as other Pastors in
   in Obama's corner...guys like Rick Warren.  If Pastors like Rick
   Warren are getting Obama's ear......I'm not worried.  Didn't Rev.
   Billy Graham 'advise' Nixon?


   I don't judge a man by what he listens to - in MY country, we're
   allowed to listen to things we don't personally agree with and come to
   our own conclusions.  I'd be more inclined to judge Obama by what he
   has done, and what he-himself has come to believe.  Perhaps that's
   where you Neo-Cons have a problem - you can only listen to things that
   you already agree with, and refuse to listen to things that don't
   already 'align' with your version of the truth or reality.  This might
   explain the popularity of Michael Savage....after he's been fired
   repeatedly for making inflammatory, Anti-Semitic statements.


   Show me the last time a Republican's pastor has ever come-under such
   scrutiny.  Who are Bush/Cheney's Pastor?  Now there's a man who has
   some explaining to do.....who would Jesus bomb, again?

not sure where you get your information but I've never heard a Republican or
conservative *ever* say they were perfect or even close to it.  But this countr
y
was founded on Christian *values* mostly as they are defined in the 10
Commandments - this is not to say other religions are not welcomed as they
definately are - but the founding fathers were for the most part Christian.   

back to present day, as Christians we *try* to live a good life, but being
human we often fail.    I know I have and probaby will again.  Perhaps you
think that's a being hypocritical -- 

Liberals are well, different.

But I;m not going to convince you of anything or change your mind.  the
ill-conceived notions are too deeply seated I fear ;-)

As far as a former Fox employeee being picked to be the Press secretary - what
would *you* do - choose your greatest enemy to represent you?  Perhaps someone
who has shown they will lie and distort anything having to do with you just to
make you look bad?  Hmmmm....  

As far as obama's pastor - listen to one of his "sermons" and
tell me if you think it's appropriate for the President to listen to - and
by association of over 20 years - agree with at least *some* of it -  there are
plenty of sites with recordings of his sermons - it's like listening to
hitler give a pep talk. Yeah, very appropriate.

        I disagree - the 'liberal media' I've purveyed told me
Spitzer was a Democrat - then again, perhaps Dems are smart enough to realize
how polarized the country has become and are smart enough, thus, to logically
deduce that no Republican actually endorces a Democrat for President anymore.



        I quote Fox News, because as you obviously point out, they present the
Neo-Con vewpoint - the idea that their reporting is 'Fair and Balanced'
is a blatant lie.  Are you still guessing how and why a Farce-News anchor was
tapped to be Bush's Mouthpiece to the rest of the press?  You don't get
to wear the 'Fair and Balanced' medal on your lapel when a deeply-polar
political party blatantly and overtly shows you favoritism to the whole world
like that.  



        Be careful when you rant about whether or not someone goes to the
'right' Church or not....you're forgetting that the Pilgrims came
here just to get-away from that crap back in England.  Tell me - when they come
after YOUR church, where will you be moving to?  A bunker in the Dakota hills? 
Please take Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh with you....I hear their Churches
allow drunks and pill-poppers to attend.  You "free-thinkers" can
have a heck of a party....
