I seem to recall also, that the part number on the later filters, after the problem was corrected was amended with a '-1' or '-2' but can't recall for sure.

I used the UFI filters both before and after the problem occurred, missing the affected filters and they were fine. (the issue with them, however, was very real) .

I changed to the baldwin filters a few years ago when the price of an UFI went nuts. Last time I tried to buy some they were close to $30.00 us each!

I know Ferrari parts ate expensive, but that is insane.

to be honest when getting rid of them and frankly they are too nice to toss.


I have decided the risk isn't worth using them.   Someone suggested
turning them into lamps and they are in great cosmetic shape for that.
