   30 years ago I worked with a fellow who drove either an Audi Fox or
   VW manual shift 2 door sta wag....he averaged well into the 40's (MPG)
   .....I know that the cost of fuel has some what changed my driving
   habits and even a little change has made a difference....it costs
   zero to change, and if you only improve by a few MPG, it is worth the
   effort and it is rewarding in knowing that you can do it.
   Now, if we each improve our mileage by say 3 MPG.....that will make a
   difference.
