It's time to watch "Ferrari, Victory By Design" again. In addition to the
250GT Ken mentioned, the 250P, 275GTB, 330s the various 312's and the 365s,
etc. can be seen and heard. IMO, once we went to car design by government
edict we began to slowly move to a world of cookie cutter car design in
approx. 1968 .

Consider the 250 SWB. No character lines, no supernumerary exhaust tips or retractible hardtop causing the trunk to look like a turtle humped over fucking. Just pure sweet simple unadorned 100% pur sang car. How hard can it be to do that again?

I'll agree that the modern Ferraris are more striking in person, but I don't think there's been a beautiful one since the 355. I think Maserati and Aston Martin have cornered the market on beautiful for some time now...
