Two questions regarding repainting the original wheels on my 308 QV.

1) someone said (I think it was Ric Rainbolt) that if the wheels are  
media blasted, a sealing primer needs to be used as the magnesium is  
porous. So, does anyone know what kind of primer needs to be used to  
prevent leakage?

2) what is the proper paint code for the wheels. My research shows  
that it maybe a Glasurit F 101C, but there is some question as to  
whether the wheel color changed in the later years. Anyone know for  
sure?

Also, is the proper finish a single stage or basecoat with a clear?

Ok, that's 3 questions, but whose counting ...
