As usual I turn to the great bucket of knowledge when I have a question like 
this ;-)  You guys are always so helpful when people are looking at this 
kind of stuff.

I know this technolgy was discussed recently b ut I was not in the market 
and didn;t pay close attention.

Plasma TV for $478.  It  seems more of a computer monitor than a TV - in the 
specs it says it does not have a TV tuner. Is a TV tuner necessary if I have 
a cable box? I can;t imagine anyone needing a 42" computer monitor!  Well, 
perhaps in a corporate teaching environment - altho even that would be 
overkill -

It seems like a good deal but this technology changes faster than I can 
learn about it.   Any comments would be appreciated -
