Depends on the car, the price difference and a host of other things.
If the price difference is not too great, or the car type has a history of expensive issues, then yes. Presumably the CPO also gives a better warranty.
If I had to by A LR Discovery, I would only buy CPO as the brake system often has issues and the parts alone can run 8K. If it were a Lexus, I wouldn't bother as these things are so reliable anyway.
