Actually, I have to admit that my G-wagon is one of my favorite cars, and the most capable 4x4 I have owned. My trailer queen off-roadster goal is a HalfTrack, and I've been on the prowl for a usable one for a price that doesn't make it a museum piece for a while and it is "on-order" with one of the real aficionados of the military vehicle restoration in town but the price is the current barrier (as is the case sometimes with these things). There is a limit that can be spent on something that needs a gooseneck trailer with my F-350 and while fun to drive on the farm is essentially useless except for the trails so I'll just wait out the market and if it comes available at the right price I'll pick it up and bring it home. In the meantime I'll just see how far I can push the G, and save the 348 for Memphis. Maybe while we are in MEM we can all get together and figure out how to find some obscure battlefield or historic location that no one else gets to without a GPS and some off-road equipment.
