All,On my DVR I can record 2 HD programs and watch a third recorded program and I think the DVR I had was HD before Tivo even, I have had it for 3 years now. Once again I think this invention really changed my life. I cant wait till the next gen Apple that will merge the TV stereo and computer more than anything available

Just remember another difference between TIVO and DVR. TIVO you can record TWO channels and watch an old program at the same time. Try that on DVR. Many times good shows are intentionally placed opposite each other. And I don't watch anything live...watching behind allows skipping over commercials easily.
