Not knowing how other listers define "today" and "contemporary", I would
personally look at the past 20 years and ask what car (s) might embody those
qualities that historically created a desire for restoration........Design,
aesthetic appeal, inovative ideas, and of course quality.....If you look at the
late 20's and into the late 30's, one thing that you see is the use of color
both eaterior and interior. When you go to any major show, you will see a
handfull of cars that are absolute stand outs due to color alone. Size, I doubt
that we will see many Subaru Justys........but we may, may, just see some Dodge
Viper GTS's. I am not a great Viper fan, how ever if you take a hard look at
what
Chrysler has done it may just turn out to be a long term winner.

I am certainly not leaving Ferrari out, but maybe that is due to the fact that
I am not as familiar with the contemporary Ferrari as I once was.........but
there will always be room in my garage for any Ferrari esp. a 288 or an F40.

But of course for style, there are always the French coachbuilders, ( but what
have they done for us recently?).......Any other opinions?
