Hey Ken,I'd like to agree with what Ken said and add a couple of things - Kens comment about obamas ability to get elected have more to do with damaging the opposition rather than producing elloquent speechs or compelling rhetoric.
As to <<we go out and elect a guy who wants it all to change.>> I give the MSM a lot of the credit/blame for the politicians we end up with. They give face time to those who are the most photogenic and talk time to those who lean the farthest left/liberal. A survey has indicated the press is over 95% registered democrat and they typically vote over 90% for the democratic politician -- and they are completely unable to act professionally and provide fair coverage to
all parties involved in an election. In addition the MSM will crucify a Republican for a wrong-doing and ignore a democrat caught doing the same or worse.s
But my biggest problem with the MSM is their lack of desire to do their job - i.e., to inform the American people of the background of all running for public office. If they don't it's very hard to find out what kind of person we are electing. They ignored and downplayed much of obamas background and his questionable business dealings, election shenanigans and questionable associates.
One more thing about us getting the politician we deserve - part of it is the MSMs way of *not* doing their job. The othe r is the way they *do* their job by digging into a politicians background to the point of seemingly attempting to destroy a politicians family. Again, it;s a partisan thing - I never knew J Carter had a halfwit brother until he was elected. But as soon as Palin was nominated we heard all kinds of trash about her family - things which had nothing to do with her ability to govern. Also, she was critizied as not having any experience - even though she'd been a mayor and govornor - making her infinately more qualified vs obama. Yet they (the MSM) appeared to not see any conflict in their position.
IMHO, the election process os more controlled by the media that any other entity, including the voters.

Be not a slave to analogical syllogisms: they only demonstrate, never prove. Summon up the blood. The way ahead is long. We must carry ourselves with lofty sprits and hearts of controversy. A generous spirit will be more inspiring. L. D.LD I have taken this off the Ferrari list because it ain't no place for this way off-topic stuff. Dunno why you think Obama is brilliant. I'll spot you charismatic, convincing campaigner, my problem lies with collectivist community organizer. All we know so far is he is good at getting elected. He did nothing of note in the Senate. Obama trumpets 'change' buts surrounds himself with liberal retreads from the Clinton cabinet. His longtime friends and associates are all card-carrying members of the Chicago corruptocracy, former domestic terrorists and race baiting fanatics. Ask yourself this: what would your assessment of BHO be if he were white? I repeat I have no problem with a man elected president who is black. I have a huge problem with a man elected president because he is black. What we have done is not change: it is as if one of Jimmy Carter's turds grew arms and legs and became re-animated. Same old sixties mantra: liberalism, radical environmentalism and mass rejection of our core values and traditions all mixed in with a compelling economic ignorance and administrative incompetence. To be fair I was deeply disappointed by the simple shit who preceded BHO as POTUS as well. America, the greatest, most successful and generous society the world has ever seen. Land of the free. And we go out and elect a guy who wants it all to change. To hell with it, I'll let this stand on the f-list and take my lumps. uk _________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/l02turner%40comcast.net Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlineshttp://www.F1Headlines.com/
