Color me grumpy, ansy or eager....bring on F1.   Like to hear more about the 
changes, too.  What I see so far - 

FIA claims 30% savings by mandating:  

Engine life is to be doubled - 8 engines per season per driver - engineering on 
that will sure save money!
Engine manufacturers are to subsidise the smaller, independent teams by 
supplying their engines at a 50% of last yrs cost.
Cut staff involved in spotting during the race (thats 22 spotters for 1 1/2 
hours per week) yet no pay cuts in Bernies office
RPM reduced 5% from 19k to 18k
Wind tunnel models scaled to 60% actual size and limited to 112mph - (building 
60% models isn't cheaper than using a100%  chassis)
Factories to close 6 weeks per year
KERS system...now theres a cheap system.

Typical government speak  -  everything they touch is costly
