Not only should they ( Ferrari ) require driving school, but now that
you have brought it to their attention I am sure that they will find a
way to really squeeze more money out of their customers....however, I
am not sure I want Italian driving lessons which consist of waving
your arms and hurling invective at every one within hearing
   range......

What I would really like to see is staged driving licenses
   1) Driving only during day light hours with another licensed driver (
which we will call an adult ) liable for any and all traffic offenses
   including suspension.
   2) After 2 years of the above, eligible to solo, and night time
privlidges, but no limited access highways and any moving violations
are dealt with by suspension of privlidges
3)After 2 years of the above without any violations now eligible for
advanced schooling ( defensive) and limited access driving. But
subject to all of the above penalties
4)After 2 years and the advanced drivers eduction, eligibility for
high speed driving and evasive action courses with all of the above
   penalties.
5)After completion of all of the above with no violations or
chargeable accidents you now own an unlimited license that allows you
the rule of the road, including unlimited speed....how ever, if you
are stopped for any act deemed unsafe for condition ie: passing,
driving too fast in an urban area, failure to comply with traffic
signals or god forbid DUI you immediately lose your license for 1 year
and if caught driving during that year 6 months in the pokey.

With these credentials and the discipline required to maintain them,
IF you are stopped by a highway patrol when they see your license they
say have a good day sir ....respect, thats all I want, just a little
respect, but I am willing to earn it.
