Indeed, so strange...also the description of the lack of traction on the salt.

Also, I'm sure that because the cars are "trimmed" for no downforce, the 
effectiveness of brake or throttle would be much less than a typical road car 
aero package?

Nutty, when do we try this?

Although, I think I'd like El Mirage to sidestep the corrosion potential of 
Bonneville.

Wonder how factual that only 3 Ferraris have ever run Bonneville

Interesting that pickup truck (w/8 drive wheels) 50mph push start is 
necessary because of high gearing ratios used to go for 300mph target. 

I found two pictures fascinating, underbonnet front end details 
and the driver's seat.  Crude aluminum plates no padding.
