Who designed the early 60s Ferrari 500 Superfast? Loved the
dimensions - long and swoopy.(is that a word?) ;-)

2009/2/19 Rick Lindsay <rolindsay [at] yahoo.com>Hello Friends,As we continue to talk about cars (bit of a change that) I find myself thinking about the great design houses. Here's my three sentence summation.Pininfarina - The ultimate curvaceous feminine designsI think one of the houses that is best tuned in to what is wanted, or is it, they are just best at defining what the standard is, and everyone wantsthere stuff. ;-)Bertone - Uber-high tech, angular, beautiful, modernistic designsLooked really modern and almost space age, 30-40 years ago, but they seem to be caught in a trap and can't escape it. With more and more sharp edgesshowing up today, maybe we'll see more from them.Zagato - Ugly ideas ranging from sausage to jellybean designs - okay, except perhaps for the A-Ms.Putting your stamp on something is one thing, but I can't think of a design how, where every car they crank out looks the same! eg, that one off Maranello. Looks like someone just stuck an air hose up the tailpipe of an old DBGT. Nothing wrong with the style, but they're very much, see one, seem that all. To my eye anyway. Please share your opinions - about the designs, not my opinions. :-PWhat other design houses do you admire? rickI'm just trying to think of a few, Park Ward, Mulliner, Frua, Fisher, thatguy Butzi did some nice stuff with those VW. hee hee.
