Fi Vintage Races? One trip to Europa, der Frau and I were just by chance in
Milan when the Alberto Ascari Vintage F1 Races were being held at Monza. How
were we to know?

We didn't know about them until we taxied from our hotel to the track to
have an alfresco lunch in the park and saw the cars. Our taxi driver must have
known someone, because we just motored right into the pit/paddock area without
even so much as a ticket. Needless to say, he got a many Euro tip for that
trick.

That was the afternoon, after the races, that I stood in the middle of the
track, just past the start/finish line, with both arms aloft in triumph, and a
big grin on my face, ala Pete Aarons while der Frau took my picture., I
still have the pix somewhere. I'll try to dig them out and post.

Sweet! There's a museum in Maia, Portugal that is very similar.

Fantastic place. We'll visit it when we meet for the vintage F1 races at
the Boavista Circuit in Porto!
