One of the first exotics I ever saw in person...pretty cool even if they 
weren't fast back in the day.

What about now with an MSD box, advanced timing, no cats, lowered suspension, 
bigger wheels/tires, etc.?

And with a good weight reduction program (carbon seats, no bumpers, lighter 
wheels, etc.)?

It could be a lot more fun no?

I wanted to make note that I think the Maserati Merak SS is a cool car. I
ran into one at the gas station earlier, and thought it aged pretty well in
person. Forgive the camera phone pic.

This is only the 2nd Merak I've ever seen.....the last one I saw maybe 6
months ago. Pretty rare car that's about the price of a 308...

Interior looked pretty interesting. Don't know how this car drives, and I've
heard bad things about the hydraulic controls.

Anyone ever drive this car?
