I wonder if one could you put a bi-Turbo motor in a Merak without too
much wrenching?
As I recall, that motor was pretty amazing. cmlf1 [at] optonline.net wrote:
I think the SS models had 220 hp, so with a few tweaks I would think 240 or so could be achieved with no major work. Getting rid of the 70's-80's emissions systems and euro bumpers would shave more than few pounds as well. The car itself is a well built solid car, so shaving a few pounds with seats and the like would likely not make a difference. If you could build the V-6 with 300 hp, then you would be someplace, or just get a Bora... ----- Original Message -----From: Fellippe Galletta Date: Wednesday, April 8, 2009 1:11 pmSubject: Re: [Ferrari] NFC: Maserati Merak To: cmlf1 [at] optonline.netCc: The FerrariListOn Wed, Apr 8, 2009 at 11:46 AM, LS wrote:One of the first exotics I ever saw in person...pretty cooleven if theyweren't fast back in the day. It could be a lot more fun no? LSrestoration....I saw a video of a Merak on youtube without front bumpers and it lookedwayyy better! My only question is, what kind of rims would you use if you upgraded thetires? Could you keep it stock?
