Because it passed the House, you know, the legislators who have the power to affect monetary legislation. That *has* to originate in the House. So, see if your congressman/woman voted for the bills that you are against, they need to hear from you. Of course, it's always better to get your word in before any of this happens. Once it's signed ito law, kinda hard to put the cow back in the burned barn. Now if the majority of the citizens in your district were against a piece of legislation, and the congressman/woman voted FOR it, then that's another kettle of fish.
