Isn't restrictions on aero, engine displacement and configuration, no traction control, manual shifting called NASCAR? Seriously, I liked it when F1 got rid of traction control. Massa spun several times forcing a reawakening of his driver's skills which got him into F1 in the first place. 4 cyl turbos vs. V6 vs. V8 vs. V10 vs. V12 should come back. Displacement along with weight disadvantages/advantages would give each superiority on several track - lighter small displacement at Monaco, big but heavy at Spa. Kinda like the KERS war now. Remember when Jag (Can-Am?) Ran both a smaller V6 turbo and big V12. Each dominated a certain track but one wasn't superior on all tracks. Turbo V6 was a response to another competitor's turbo V6 dominating on certain tracks and Jag needed to maintain manufacturer's points. Just some early morning thoughts before coffee...
